Making great things happen in WEldon.

About US

Weldon In Action is a coalition of current and former residents of Weldon, North Carolina seeking to revitalize the historic small town.  Stemming from a brainstorming session with former Mayor Julia Meacham and rising momentum from former residents on Facebook, Weldon In Action started on July 8, 2021 with a small group of town officials, current and former residents and key county leaders.  The group has since doubled in size and we have numerous projects underway.  Members of the original group chose projects that could be done with minimal funds and yet yield a noticeable impact.

The group also started Restoration Weldon, an IRS designated 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization to raise money for large scale projects in Weldon without having to rely exclusively on public funds.  Fundraising events and activities have started with our newly-formed events team.  Restoration Weldon has a 7-12 member board, chosen from participants in the Weldon In Action coalition.
