Historic Weldon Entrance

The Enhancement and Appearance committee serves as the local “Boots on the Ground” committee through Weldon In Action: working to clean-up, replant, decorate or paint as needed.  This team has already worked throughout the town to accomplish several projects.  The “Triangle” planter boxes at the entrance to the town heading east on 158 are no longer filled with weeds and are cleaned and replanted each season.

Recently, the committee has been busy with the clean-up of the tree boxes in both the 100 and 200 blocks of Washington Avenue, clean up and replanting of both the old jail/library and town hall and clean-up projects in River Falls park, Christmas preparation projects and decorating.  The committee also brings their creative touch to Weldon In Action events and monthly meetings.

Beauty has many purposes: it makes an area look better, people take pride in their neighborhoods and towns and then work hard to protect them for the future. Upcoming projects include the Weldon Library grounds and Weldon Fire Department Stations 1 and 2, plus others!
