Ron Beckham -Oil and watercolor artist
Ron Beckham, Oil and watercolor artist
Ron celebrates and embraces life’s journey through his “realist” oil and watercolor works. His paintings are inspired by connections with nature in distant countries as well as the smallest American towns. The grand qualities of landscape captures his fancy from the wildly shaped oak trees of the South to the majestic lakes of northern Ohio. Through the watercolor medium, Ron intensely captures and honors the immediate impression of a moment in nature.
Ron's paintings may appear as abstract with visually intense colors, as well as, present unique free form images that appear precisely controlled at the same time.
He graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and was chosen by the School of Visual Arts or their Master of Fine Arts program. His instructors included Marshall Arisman, Robert Weaver, and Steve Heller, with a thesis project under Rolling Stone Art Director Fred Woodward.
Ron’s work has not only enriched the lives of countless others but also has brought him accolades from Print, the Society of Illustrators, and Graphic Design USA. His design talents and teaching skills have helped Cosmopolitan Magazine, Campbell Soup, Burt’s Bees, The Art Institute of Illinois and others refocus their efforts to succeed.
